About The Instructor

Maya's intention of starting yoga was really just about getting herself healthier. She only recently realized how much Yoga has become a big part of her life. She is grateful for all the years of benefits that her practice has brought to her.

"It is strange; the more I practice, the more I learn, the little I feel I know! I never imagined someday I could have an opportunity to share my learning journey with others."

With her friends and family’s encouragement, she took her YTT 200 hours in Yoga Point Singapore in early 2019 and decided to explore and embark on this journey.

She believes that teaching is very different from self-practice and it’s a process that never ends if you want to be the best. Teaching is learning!

She has been teaching since 2020. And her teaching has evolved since, from focusing on sequencing to a more strength-based approach, as strength is such an important element in our daily function especially when we get older.

"We move because we want to keep moving and independent as old as possible."
